CHEER OVERVIEW
The DVRR Jr. Terriers are proud members of the Warren County Midget Football League. The DVRR Jr. Terriers cheer program is available to children in K-8th grades. The cheer program follows the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) rules, and participates in local and national competitions. Participation in the DVRR Jr. Terriers cheer program provides children with an opportunity to perform in an organized, supervised, safety-oriented environment. Our program emphasizes FUN for all and encourages the development of qualities that will continue to be important long after children graduate from our program.
As a DVRR Jr. Terriers game day cheerleader, your child will be cheering at our football games on Saturdays or Sundays at home and away games.
As a DVRR Jr. Terriers competition cheerleader, your child will be cheering at our football games on Saturdays or Sundays at home and away games. They will also be participating in exciting, local UCA cheer competitions. Our regular game day only season begins in early August and continues through November. Our competition season starts earlier in the summer with choreography sessions, and we hit the mat running from there!
Cheer practices are held at our indoor practice facility at Horseshoe Bend Park in Kingwood Township as well as at Del Val High School. To ensure the safety of our participants, cheer practices are held on cheerleading mats, and all coaches are USA Cheer Safety Certified.
CHEER SQUADS
Game day cheerleaders are assigned to squads based on grade, which aligns with the DVRR Jr. Terriers football teams. All competition cheerleaders are assigned to squads based on birth year in accordance with UCA rules and regulations, and squads will be determined once competition cheer registration closes on May 31, 2025. All competition cheerleaders are required to participate in both football games AND competitions.
